FEFCO 0330-1
Self-Locking Telescope Box with Double-End-Wall Tray and Cover. A tray and a cover that slides over it, both with self-locking double end walls: the end walls fold double and lock by tab and slot as they fold up — no glue, no tape.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
About this construction.
Reading the code FEFCO 0330
The 03 series holds the telescope-type boxes: a tray and a lid, each made from its own blank, where the lid slides down over the tray to close the pack. A full telescope lid covers the whole depth of the tray; a partial one covers only its upper part. Two pieces cost more board than a slotted case but give a stackable, reusable box that opens from the top.
Within the series, 0330 is the design published as the Self-Locking Telescope Box with Double-Wall Tray and Cover. The four-digit code carries the full structural intent — specify it to any converter and both sides mean the same construction; only dimensions and board grade remain to be agreed.
This template is catalogue variant 1 of the 0330 construction, with adjusted proportions or construction detail; the FEFCO code identifies the underlying design.
How the case behaves
Tray and cover are cut from the same family of blank: each wall folds up double, and the inner layer carries tabs that drop into slots in the base as the wall is raised, so the part holds its shape with no glue, tape or stitching. The cover is sized to the tray's outside dimensions and slides over it. The 0330-1 variant doubles only the end walls.
Typical uses
Two-piece boxes erected at the packing bench: sample and presentation boxes, hand-packed e-commerce orders, and transit boxes for parts and components where a glued construction would cost a converting step.
Dimensions and board
The parameters above — internal length, width and depth, plus any construction-specific values this style needs — drive the whole blank: panel layout, flap depths and slot positions all derive from them, validated against the template's supported range. The 2D dieline and the 3D fold preview regenerate together from the same parametric structure.
A corrugated dieline is a starting point for production, not a substitute for converter judgment: flute profile, board grade and joint style all affect final dimensions and crush behavior. Confirm tolerances and material with your manufacturer before mass production — and erect the structure on screen first, so flap collisions and proportion problems surface before any tooling is ordered.
Industries and applications
Converters cut the Shipping Carton (FEFCO 0330-1) for shipping and transit cartons, storage and archive boxes, and clothing, shirt and accessory boxes.
Shipping cartons are judged on stacking strength and the speed of closing on the packing bench.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Quick answers about this template.
What is Shipping Carton — Self-Locking Telescope Tray and Cover, Double End Walls?
FEFCO 0330 is a self-locking telescope box: a tray and a cover that slides over it, both erected without glue. Their double walls fold up and lock by tab and slot, so the two pieces ship flat and go together by hand. This template is catalogue variant 1 of the construction.
Which dimensions does the Shipping Carton — Self-Locking Telescope Tray and Cover, Double End Walls dieline need?
5 parameters drive the blank: L (length), W (width), D (depth), H (height), Corrugated cardboard thickness (mm). Each value is validated against the template's supported range, and the whole dieline regenerates from them.
Can I see how Shipping Carton — Self-Locking Telescope Tray and Cover, Double End Walls folds before cutting it?
Yes. The interactive 3D fold preview and the 2D dieline are generated from the same parametric model, so the fold you watch on screen is the geometry of the sheet you cut. Open the template in the studio to fold it at your own dimensions; 3D folding comes with the Workshop and Line plans.
