Generate dielines from your own software
The Packdroid Developer API takes a template code and dimensions and returns the production dieline as an SVG, PDF or DXF file — the same file the editor downloads. Use it to put dielines into a web-to-print shop, an ERP job, or a quoting tool.
How it works
- List the templates
GET /api/v1/catalogue returns every active template with its public code, name and parameter names. Filter with q and category; page with limit and cursor.
- Read one template's schema
GET /api/v1/catalogue/{code} returns every parameter with its unit, default, step and minimum/maximum rules — including rules that depend on another dimension — plus options, pages and formats.
- Generate the file
POST /api/v1/dielines/{code} with a format and the parameters. The response body is the file itself, with its filename and the template version in the headers.
Access and keys
The Developer API is included with the Bench, Workshop and Line plans. Create and revoke keys under Account → Developer API. The full key is shown once; Packdroid stores only its hash. An account can keep five active keys.
Send the key as a Bearer token on every request. Keep it on your server: never put it in browser or app code, and revoke it if it is exposed. Use a separate key for each system, so one integration can be stopped without affecting the others.

SVG and PDF are drawn at 1:1 physical scale, with cut and crease lines on separate layers; add measurement annotations or the information panel with the dimensions and info fields. DXF is available for CAD and cutting tables.
Multi-page templates (a rigid box's board and wrapper, for example) come back as one PDF, a ZIP of DXF files, or an SVG that is either combined or split into separate pages. Units follow the template: most dimensions are millimetres, and some stock thicknesses are micrometres.
Limits
Each successful file counts toward the plan's monthly downloads. Separately, every plan has operational limits that protect the service; responses carry X-RateLimit headers and a Retry-After on 429.

Every key runs at most two renders at once, and a render times out after 30 seconds. A key that keeps exceeding its limits is suspended for 15 minutes; invalid requests are rejected before they count against the monthly allowance.
Errors
Errors are JSON with a stable code. Validation errors list each problem with its location, for example parameters.length, and the minimum or maximum it broke.

| 429 | Rate or concurrency limit. Retry after Retry-After. |
| 504 | The render took longer than 30 seconds. Retry with backoff. |
