E-Commerce Mailer Box
FEFCO 0713-3
Twin-Tab Locking-Lid Container with Crash-Lock Bottom. A glued tube with a crash-lock bottom that locks by geometry as the carton is set up — no tape on the bottom. An inner panel folds over the opening and the lid closes over it with its tuck; the two tabs of the inner panel lock into the two lock flaps of the lid, so the box closes without tape.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
About this construction.
Reading the code FEFCO 0713
The 07 series holds the ready-glued, self-erecting constructions: boxes glued during manufacture that are delivered flat or collapsed and spring into shape in one movement at the point of packing.
Within the series, 0713 is the design published as the Tuck-Top Container with Crash-Lock Bottom. The four-digit code carries the full structural intent — specify it to any converter and both sides mean the same construction; only dimensions and board grade remain to be agreed.
This template is catalogue variant 3 of the 0713 construction, with adjusted proportions or construction detail; the FEFCO code identifies the underlying design.
How the case behaves
The body is a glued tube. The bottom flaps are glued to each other during manufacture so that squaring the tube snaps the base shut — the crash lock — and the carton still ships flat. The top is a tuck panel that folds over and slides between the walls to close; a finger notch or a lock on the top edge is optional. It is the 07-series counterpart of the 0215, with the base locked by glue instead of folded by hand.
Typical uses
High-volume e-commerce and fulfilment lines where erection speed pays: the packer squares the carton, fills it and tucks the top, with no bottom taping step.
Dimensions and board
The parameters above — internal length, width and depth, plus any construction-specific values this style needs — drive the whole blank: panel layout, flap depths and slot positions all derive from them, validated against the template's supported range. The 2D dieline and the 3D fold preview regenerate together from the same parametric structure.
A corrugated dieline is a starting point for production, not a substitute for converter judgment: flute profile, board grade and joint style all affect final dimensions and crush behavior. Confirm tolerances and material with your manufacturer before mass production — and erect the structure on screen first, so flap collisions and proportion problems surface before any tooling is ordered.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Quick answers about this template.
What is E-Commerce Mailer Box — Crash-Lock Base, Twin Lock Tabs?
FEFCO 0713 is a tuck-top container with a crash-lock bottom: a glued tube whose base is pre-glued to lock by geometry as the carton is set up, and whose top closes by hand with a tuck panel. It erects in one movement and needs no tape on the bottom. This template is catalogue variant 3 of the construction.
Which dimensions does the E-Commerce Mailer Box — Crash-Lock Base, Twin Lock Tabs dieline need?
4 parameters drive the blank: L (length), W (width), D (depth), Corrugated cardboard thickness (mm). Each value is validated against the template's supported range, and the whole dieline regenerates from them.
Can I see how E-Commerce Mailer Box — Crash-Lock Base, Twin Lock Tabs folds before cutting it?
Yes. The interactive 3D fold preview and the 2D dieline are generated from the same parametric model, so the fold you watch on screen is the geometry of the sheet you cut. Open the template in the studio to fold it at your own dimensions; 3D folding comes with the Workshop and Line plans.
