Telescope Lid Rigid Box
PD-TL01
A wrapped lid lowers over a wrapped base — the classic two-piece rigid gift box. Configuring it produces four blanks: base board and wrapper, lid board and wrapper.

STRUCTURE NOTES
About this construction.
How the construction works
The TB series is the telescoping construction: a wrapped lid lowers over a wrapped base. In the three-piece variant an inner tray stands between them, rising proud of the base so the lid seats onto it — the arrangement that produces a flush, shoulder-style closure where lid and base meet in one continuous surface.
Inside this construction
Configuring this template produces the construction's full component kit — the tray's rigid board, the tray wrapper, the lid's rigid board, the lid wrapper — as separate blanks generated from the same parameters, so the parts agree with each other by construction.
Board, wrap and fit
In rigid work the board's thickness is a first-class dimension, which is why it appears among this template's parameters: every internal measurement propagates outward through the caliper, a lid must clear what it closes over, and a tray must seat inside walls whose thickness consumes real millimeters. The wrapper blanks carry turn-in allowances derived from the same dimensions as the boards they cover.
Change one dimension and the dependent component blanks update in step, keeping the fit relationships intact. Confirm board caliper, wrap material and corner treatment with your manufacturer before committing tooling — corner style in particular can rule construction options in or out.
Typical uses
Telescoping rigid boxes are the classic premium gift and presentation format — apparel, cosmetics coffers, celebration packaging — and the shoulder variant is the signature of high-end rigid work, where the seam line between lid and base becomes a design feature.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Quick answers about this template.
What is Telescope Lid Rigid Box?
Rigid TB01 is a telescoping rigid box — a wrapped lid closing over a wrapped base; configuring it generates every component blank — boards and wrappers — from the same parameters.
Which dimensions does the Telescope Lid Rigid Box dieline need?
6 parameters drive the blank: L (length), W (width), D (depth), H (height) and 2 more construction-specific values (mm, um). Each value is validated against the template's supported range, and the whole dieline regenerates from them.
Can I see how Telescope Lid Rigid Box folds before cutting it?
Yes. The interactive 3D fold preview and the 2D dieline are generated from the same parametric structure, so the fold you watch on screen is the geometry of the sheet you cut. Open the template in the preview studio to fold it at your own dimensions.
